The Country life
I wrote this while sitting on the swing in Kathy’s backyard, looking at the stars and smelling the fresh air. After unloading the car and a quick trip to the lake, I took some time to remind myself of my priorities and goals for this journey.
There are many benefits that will come from this journey of mine, some of them are residual, some of them will be direct. First and foremost, I believe it will help fill that void in my heart about seeing things, and doing things and writing. Getting back to writing from my heart is the biggest thing I’m excited about, and It’s already starting to take place as I’ve been blogging.
Secondly, the journey will teach me responsibility. I’m going to have to get a job, that’s my first priority. I’m going to have to be fiscally responsible, since I no longer have a steady income. My goal is not to spend any money, and I’ve done a pretty good job. I’ve spent about 20 bucks in a week, excluding gas to get out of town.
Thirdly, I want to meet new people, and although I’m not desperate to find a mate, I am a little bit lonely, and that’s something that prompted this journey. I had the perfect job, a leisurely life, I was living my dream with nobody to share it with. Apparently Utah men are not my kind of men. I’m looking for somebody who can take me as I am, and chase me, love me, and want to be with me. I’m anxious to see what kind of men I’ll find across the states.
