Bringing Integrity to the Written Word

BAD JOEY, BAD JOEY…
I’m remembering now one of the problems of dating. When I last spoke with Joey and arranged for a Sunday date, I specifically let him know that I had a friend visiting, and would not be available until Sunday. I believe our date will be the time to chat and get to know each other better, that is, after all, the purpose of the date.
Yet I’ve already received two phone calls from Joey, “just wanting to chat.” Now since we don’t know each other, I can’t possibly think of anything we have to chat about. This is one of my pet peeves. Why do complete strangers think that I would have time in my day, or want to take time out from my day, just to chat about nothing? It feels desperate and tedious, and I’m sad to say that it’s now two strikes against Joey, and we haven’t even gone out yet. Perhaps I’m being too judgmental, but really?

  1. You’re being judgemental. If you didnt have a friend visiting, you would have welcomed his calls? Relax and be grateful you have someone new calling you. I love you.
